Spesa Insieme keeps shared grocery lists in sync using a six-digit code. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking.
The service stores only what the list needs: the names you choose to show, the list name, items with quantities, notes, prices and photos taken in the app, the store you mention when you go shopping, and shopping ratings. Only people connected to the same list can see them.
If you turn on notifications, the service keeps the anonymous token Apple assigns to your phone to deliver them, only for the lists you are connected to.
Shelf labels and receipts are read on your phone: those photos are never sent. Recipe links are opened directly by your phone.
Photos no longer used by any item are deleted. When the last person leaves, the list is deleted with everything in it. Lists unused for a year are deleted automatically. The service runs on Cloudflare, which keeps technical request logs for a few days.
